York

We arrived on Sunday afternoon and jammed in several activities. After giving the girls 45mins to wander the streets of York we made our first group stop at the Jorvik centre for some Viking history.
We then headed off to the shambles, an 800 year old street! Whilst there we stopped into the Hebden Tea House for our pre arranged tea blending experience. The girls had the opportunity to mix our very own Firbank special blend. Thanks to Susan James, our principals assistant, for organizing this.
Next stop was Clifford tower, over 1000 years old.
We checked into the Ibis before invading the local Italian restaurant where the owner quickly called for reinforcements to deal with the sudden influx.
An icecream finished off the evening before the girls retired to their rooms.
In the morning at checkout the Ibis staff paid tribute to the outstanding behavior of our girls.
We spent the morning exploring the York Minster before heading off to Newcastle.
