A day out shopping and exploring

After a very big breakfast the girls were eager to hit the shops!
Our first task was descending the 170 plus, practically vertical steps into Russell square tube. The choice to use the stairs was questionable as we reached the half way point.....
Our first stop was Piccadilly Circus where the girls unleashed their shopping prowess. Lilly whites sport store was somewhere we could have spent a few hours but as our schedule was tight the girls had 30minutes only.
We then split into two groups with half heading off to Harrods on the tube to then walk through Hyde park into Oxford street.
The other half walked up Regent street into Oxford street for some more shopping.
The weather for the morning was wet wet wet so all the walking was not exactly comfortable but the girls didn't seem to mind as they broke it up with lots of shop stops!
We headed back to the hotel for what we thought was going to be a 2pm departure for our first school visit to face our first hitch for the trip. The bus was stuck in traffic and was 2 hours away! The girls patiently waited eager to get into the swing of things. The bus finally arrived and we were on our way to Watford.
Results and photos to follow.....
